Genoma España is a governmental foundation and, as such, is subject to putting out requests for proposals/applications, calls for tender or invitations to tender when a particular service can not be internally done and is needed.
Request for bids generally includes a detailed description of what is needed, any requirements, the budget allocated, etc (contract regulations for bidders).
Contract bids invite vendors, suppliers, service providers and contractors to submit proposals/applications that detail how their service will be carried out, delivered, etc. During the bidding process, submitted contract bids or proposals/applications are fairly reviewed using objective criteria by qualified personnel. Thereinafter, the best bid is selected and is awarded the contract (awarded biddings).
The procedure ensures that Genoma España gets the best price for the service that is needed.
